History
The history of Medika College of Vocational Health Studies is closely linked to the need of the modern healthcare system of the Republic of Serbia for highly qualified vocational professionals capable of meeting the growing demands of healthcare services. The College was founded in 2020 in Belgrade as an independent, accredited higher education institution, with the aim of integrating theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and clinical experience through modern study programmes. Since its establishment, Medika has continuously developed its study programmes and teaching capacities, while expanding cooperation with healthcare institutions and educational partners in Belgrade, Kruševac, and other cities across Serbia. Special emphasis has been placed on improving practical teaching, developing its publishing activity, and involving the College in professional and academic developments through the organization of conferences and symposia, as well as the launch of an international professional journal. In a relatively short period of time, the College has built a recognizable educational model based on contemporary European standards, continuous monitoring of students’ professional development, and the strengthening of ties between education and healthcare practice, thereby actively contributing to the development of the healthcare system and the education of new generations of healthcare professionals.
